Calidawn FAQ ~
Here are just a few questions that I would expect to be asked, or have been asked.
Will you host my site?
No. I don't like the thought of someone else being in my account, and I don't particularily like FTP. I know I may be a hypocrite in saying something like this since I was hosted for so very long on another person's webspace for free - but this is just how I am. Besides, I have a lot of projects in mind for this domain and I will need all the space I can get.
Where do you get your images?
Depending on whether or not I want the layout to be anime, generic, or have it contain an element of fantasy, I get my images from various anime sites, as well as one particular fantasy site, which you can find in the links section.
Can you link my site?
Well that depends. Right now I just have sites up that I really like, or that I find useful. If you really really need to advertise your site, then send me an email and maybe something can happen.
Can I link to your site?
Yes you can. You can find a button in the 'domain' section, which you can save.
Can I copy your layout/graphics?
Although this would be very flattering - no. There are a lot of free graphics sites on the internet, where you can download the layouts. I recommend Daydreamgraphics.com. Snow White has an extensive collection of free layouts.
Can you make me a layout?
No, sorry. Even if my layouts don't look like much, I do spend a lot of time on them and my site, and don't really have enough time to make someone else one. Most of the time I get my layouts from graphics-free sites like the one mentioned in the previous question.
What program(s) do you use to make the layouts?
Currently I use Adobe Photoshop, but it's very tempramental and a pain in the ass to load. That's why my layouts don't change very often.
Where is Calidawn.net hosted?
Currently Calidawn.net is hosted on Yahoo! Business Webhosting. I've had no problem with them in the past, and after looking all over the place for a decent host and not finding one, I just came right back to them.
